The Wildwoods is an island
made up of three prominent sections: North
Wildwood, located just north of the center
of Wildwood with Wildwood Crest, which is
just to the south. With year-round
events, miles of wide, white sandy
beaches, a fun-filled boardwalk and endless
places to play, shop and eat, The Wildwoods
is a great place to vacation!
New Jersey maintains the highest
standards in ocean water quality of any
state in the country and was rated "New
Jersey's Best Sport Beach" by Travel
Holiday Magazine. Beachgoers can glide along
the sand of The Wildwood’s expansive
beaches on the State's first beach tram,
introduced in 1994, traveling from the street
to the shoreline.
The 38-block Wildwood boardwalk
is lined with amusement piers, water parks,
specialty shops, theaters, eateries and
restaurants. This 2.5 mile wooden walkway
has something for kids of all ages. Ride
a bike along the promenade from 6 a.m. to
11 a.m., take a leisurely stroll or ride
the tram cars while enjoying a breathtaking
